As we come to the close of 2014 and the holiday season, we at the Times Union hold great appreciation for the many who have contributed this year to our charity, the Times Union Hope Fund, which is dedicated to helping children at risk in the Capital Region.
Since the fund was established in 2007, we have collected and distributed $633,980 in grants, helping an estimated 10,000 children. Working with the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region, the grants primarily support summer and after-school programs.
