The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region is happy to welcome Laura Yaun as its new Chief Financial Officer. Yaun began work at the Foundation on July 15.

Her work will include growth and management of the Foundation’s $65 million in charitable assets, overseeing financial activity including grantmaking and scholarship administration for the Foundation’s 400+ separate charitable funds, working with the Foundation’s network of professional advisors, and day-to-day financial management for the Foundation itself.
Yaun joins the Foundation’s staff with an extensive background in nonprofit financial administration. Most recently, Yaun served as Controller for the New York Farm Bureau and its affiliates. She has also provided financial leadership to Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth, Northeast Parent & Child Society, and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany.
Yaun graduated magna cum laude from Siena College, and was a graduate of the inaugural class of the Capital Region Chamber’s Leadership Tech Valley program. Yaun lives in Loudonville, and in her spare time, she enjoys biking, hiking, gardening, and supporting the Troy Waterfront Farmer’s Market.
