Community Impact Funds
Through the Community Impact Funds, the Foundation keeps pace with the community’s most pressing needs. The Community Foundation's Board and Staff makes grants from these funds to organizations and programs that best meet donors' areas of interest. Donors can rely on the Community Foundation to identify organizations capable of making the greatest impact in the specific issue area or region of particular importance to them.
Donor Advised Funds
By creating a donor advised fund, donors can organize all their charitable activities through one expertly-managed and cost-effective charitable vehicle. These funds allow donors to recommend grants to support specific charitable organizations. Fund advisors make grant recommendations; the Community Foundation then vets the not-for-profits, writes the checks, and handles reporting.
Scholarship Funds
Through a scholarship fund at the Community Foundation, donors can help students realize their educational dreams. Donors can designate eligibility requirements and selection criteria, and work with the Foundation to name an advisory committee to assist with making awards. Feel free to review "Guidelines for Scholarship Funds" or "Designing a Scholarship Program."
Designated Funds
While many donors prefer to give directly to their favorite charities, a designated fund may be a preferable option for ongoing support. Donors select the specific not-for-profits to receive grants and the Foundation invests the charitable assets and regularly pays grants to the charities donors have named.
Special Project Funds
These funds are established on a temporary basis to meet a specific charitable purpose.
We also work with local school districts and geographic affiliates to help them raise money to support charitable efforts in their communities.
