Grantmakers Alliance of Northeastern New York (GANNY):
GANNY is a regional association of grantmakers that is committed to increasing effective philanthropy in northeastern New York. Membership is composed of private, community, public, and corporate foundations and corporate giving programs that annually make grants to multiple organizations serving northeastern New York. New York State Office for the Aging (NYSOFA):
NYSOFA is located within the Executive Department of the State of New York. NYSOFA’s mission is to help older New Yorkers be as independent as possible for as long as possible through advocacy and the development and delivery of cost-effective policies, programs, and services that support and empower older people and their families, in partnership with the network of public and private organizations that serve them. Request for Applications:
GANNY and NYSOFA are soliciting applications for funding to conduct a six-month planning process, which should culminate in a plan to follow up with implementing a project, program, or activity. Both the planning process and the subsequent project, program, or activity should be consistent with the principles outlined on page 3. These principles reflect the community-building objectives of this grant opportunity.
Eligible Applicants:
Community Teams from Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties are eligible to apply for these planning grants. Community Teams must represent collaboration among community sectors: non-profit agencies and organizations (education, faith, arts, service, and others), the business community, and local government, as well as substantial involvement of residents.

Maximum Amount of Grant Awards:
